Sunday Menu

hunter_rose76 is asking me to find out what everyone would like to eat during the baklava festivities.
He has a few things in mind, but he really needs to know if there's anything in particular you gals & your spawn would like.
(((Read:  Please give him some ideas so his head won't explode!)))

Also, if there are any dietary omissions that need to be made, that would be handy to know as well.
There will already be no seafood or bananas because of my allergies.
merry_raven has a problem with pork, so there will definitely be some porcine-free fare.
If there's anything else we should know about, let me know.

'course I'm nowhere near, but just as a matter of commonality... I'm allergic to shrimp and shellfish!

I'm glad your ancestors are from the opposite end of Europe mine are.
Otherwise, I would be worried I have a clone running around.

You've seen my photo.... you look anything like me? I'm pretty Sicilian looking.

My daughter doesn't eat beef or lamb by choice, but we inhale just about everything else imaginable. I don't like to like veal, but I do. Except sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top, I don't care for those.

Poultry would be ideal, but I had planned on packing a sammich for her as I thought chili was on the menu?

I didn't mean to imply that chili was off the menu...just get more ideas.
I think I may let the kids "make their own" English muffin pizzas.
That way, they can pick exactly what they want on them.

i thought it was chili as well. i don't have any allergies, and i'm sure i can find something available i'll eat, though with my diet it might not be that much. we're all supposed to bring snacks too, right?

Yup, yup!
Chips, soda, etc. are acceptable to bring, but you're welcome to get more enthusiastic if you like. :-}

I am looking at making a beef based chili. I might also through together a beef and cheese filled manicotti.

Just no ginger. Ginger is M's seafood.

Veggies are always good too. I'm happy with carrots, celery and apples, but that's just me.

I'd been thinking about having various veggie bowls w/ dressing available.

*whew*
another one for seafood allergies, however I aquired mine thru pregnancy. Damned kids.

We have no allergies other than that, my kids will eat... just about anything including but not limited to chili(as long as it's easy on the spicy hot), sushi, veges, salad, spaghettios, fruit, PB&J sandwiches, chicken, hot dogs... I think the english muffin pizza is a great idea! They're excited to come and play and so am I. I'll give them a pep talk about rules and minding The Big Guy (Chris not god) and how he knows dad. That oughta settle them down.

I need someone to send me directions so I shall be there at 10am right?

Also, I'll bring a box of juice bags if that would help.

Re: *whew*
Nothing spoils the fun like someone having to leave in an ambulance!

I'd been hoping someone would bring juice packs.
They're easier to deal with that a million open-topped cups floating around the house.
